Video Editor & Videographer

The opportunity

Aven Media is a Sweden-based creative and strategic communications company with a global outlook. We work across branding, digital media, storytelling, communication strategy and production. We are building our professional team in Uganda and are looking for people who value creative quality, good relationships and reliable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct shoots, including interviews, events, reels and promotional productions.
• Operate cameras and manage basic lighting, sound, framing and media workflows.
• Edit footage into clear, engaging stories tailored to platform and audience.
• Add captions, colour correction, music, motion graphics and sound design when appropriate.
• Collaborate on storyboards and creative concepts and implement editorial feedback.
• Organise footage, backups, project files and final delivery formats.

Qualifications & experience

• At least two years of relevant practical production or editing experience preferred.
• A strong showreel or relevant examples of completed work.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or comparable editors.
• Practical understanding of camera work, sound, lighting and storytelling.
• Willingness to take on agreed field production assignments in Uganda.

Expected results

• High-quality video footage and completed edits.
• Organised production archives and timely deliverables.
