Uganda Coordinator

The opportunity

Aven Media is a Sweden-based creative and strategic communications company with a global outlook. We work across branding, digital media, storytelling, communication strategy and production. We are building our professional team in Uganda and are looking for people who value creative quality, good relationships and reliable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Aven Media’s day-to-day activities and project implementation across Uganda.
• Prepare operational plans, delivery schedules, project updates and management reports.
• Coordinate creative professionals, consultants, interns and service providers, with clear roles and timelines.
• Oversee client assignments, deliverable quality, deadlines and stakeholder communication.
• Support project budgeting, cost monitoring, administration and responsible resource use.
• Build practical operating procedures, recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Identify operational risks, resolve delivery issues and communicate promptly with the Country Director.
• Coordinate with the Head of Partnerships to turn proposals into achievable, well-scoped projects.

Qualifications & experience

• A degree in Management, Business Administration, Communications, Project Management or a related discipline; further professional training is an advantage.
• More than seven years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrable team or operational leadership.
• A track record of managing multiple projects, budgets, vendors and diverse stakeholders.
• Experience within creative services, communication agencies, consultancy or other client-facing operations is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organisation, judgement, professional ethics and written English.
• Knowledge of Uganda’s business environment and ability to work across international teams.

• On-time project delivery and strong client communication.
• Reliable operational reports, budgets and systems.
