Head of Partnerships

The opportunity

Aven Media is a Sweden-based creative and strategic communications company with a global outlook. We work across branding, digital media, storytelling, communication strategy and production. We are building our professional team in Uganda and are looking for people who value creative quality, good relationships and reliable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of partnership and business-development priorities in Uganda.
• Identify and engage private-sector clients, institutions, NGOs and development partners needing creative or communication services.
• Develop client presentations, proposals, partnership concepts, quotations and commercial discussions.
• Identify requests for proposals, tenders and collaborative business opportunities.
• Mobilise relationships with complementary creative agencies, media partners and service providers.
• Maintain a documented pipeline of leads, prospects, proposals, decisions and partnerships.
• Work with the Uganda Coordinator and creative team to develop realistic service scopes and delivery plans.
• Support client retention, account development, networking and appropriate representation.

Qualifications & experience

• A degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, International Relations or a relevant discipline.
• More than five years of relevant experience in partnerships, business development, account management or commercial engagement.
• Demonstrated results in building partnerships, securing clients or closing commercial opportunities.
• Strong relationship management, proposal writing, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Networks in the Ugandan business, communications or development sectors are an advantage.
• Ability to independently manage a professional pipeline and report concrete outcomes.
