Start With 4 Weeks. Show Us What You Can Do.
ROMANEUM is looking for talented young reporters, interviewers, storytellers, and emerging media personalities. This is not an internship where you only watch others work. You will find stories, research, interview people, create videos, develop ideas, and produce work intended for publication.
What You’ll Do
• Find compelling people, stories, and ideas in Uganda and across Africa.
• Research American news, faith, culture, entrepreneurship, and people-focused stories for a global audience.
• Identify Ugandan and African stories that will interest American and international audiences.
• Research stories and develop strong interview questions.
• Conduct remote and selected in-person interviews.
• Create short video reports for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other platforms.
• Write hooks, headlines, captions, and short stories.
• Track views, comments, and shares, then improve storytelling based on audience response.
• Use modern AI tools responsibly for research, preparation, transcription, and media workflows.
What We’re Looking For
Students, recent graduates, and exceptional emerging creators are welcome. Relevant areas include journalism, mass communication, broadcasting, media studies, digital media, film/video, public relations, marketing, or related fields.
We are looking for people who are curious, reliable, ethical, strong English communicators, interested in people and their stories, willing to appear on camera, open to feedback, and able to learn quickly. Previous professional journalism experience is not required. Potential matters.
What You’ll Gain
• Work intended for a real audience.
• A professional portfolio of published interviews, videos, and stories.
• On-camera interviewing and hosting experience.
• Modern journalism skills across video, social media, AI tools, analytics, and audience development.
• A real pathway to longer-term paid work with ROMANEUM.
How to Apply
Submit your CV or résumé, university and course of study if applicable, and links to any videos, articles, social accounts, interviews, podcasts, or previous work by email only: [email protected].
Candidates who advance may be asked to record a 60-second video answering: “What is one story in Uganda that more people should know about—and why?”
Your phone is enough. We are looking for curiosity, intelligence, authenticity, communication, and the ability to make someone want to keep listening.
ROMANEUM is building a global Christian media and commerce brand. Start with four weeks. Prove what you can do. Build from there.
