JOB TITLE OPERATIONS MANAGER

NATURE OF JOB FULL TIME

INDUSTRY MANUFACTURING/DISTRIBUTION/LOGISTICS

SALARY KSHS.60,000

JOB LOCATION KIAMBU

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management

· Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.

· Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices.

· Monitor operational performance and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.

· Ensure all operational activities are executed in accordance with company standards and objectives.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

· Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, stock movement, and dispatch.

· Ensure accurate inventory management through regular stock counts, reconciliations, and inventory controls.

· Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

· Implement inventory management systems and procedures to improve stock accuracy and accountability.

Logistics, Fleet & Asset Management

· Manage logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of goods.

· Oversee company fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, maintenance, fuel management, and utilization.

· Ensure proper management, maintenance, and accountability of company assets.

· Coordinate transportation activities and optimize delivery routes for efficiency.

Financial & Cost Management

· Prepare and manage operational budgets.

· Monitor operational expenses and implement cost-control measures.

· Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while reducing costs.

· Prepare operational performance and cost analysis reports for management.

Team Leadership

· Supervise, mentor, and develop operations, warehouse, and logistics staff.

· Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.

· Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the operations team.

· Ensure adequate staffing and workforce planning to meet operational demands.

Compliance, Safety & Quality

· Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and applicable legal requirements.

· Promote workplace safety and implement risk mitigation measures.

· Ensure operational processes meet quality standards and customer expectations.

· Conduct periodic operational audits and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

· Track and analyze key operational performance indicators.

· Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for senior management.

· Identify process bottlenecks and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

· Support the implementation of technology and systems that enhance operational efficiency.


KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

· Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Over 3 years' experience in operations or logistics management.

· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, fleet management, and asset management.

· Experience in budgeting, cost control, and improving operational efficiency.

· Experience working with ERP systems or inventory management software is an added advantage.

· Strong leadership and people management skills.

· Excellent planning, organization, and coordination abilities.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Sound understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.
