Job Description
JOB TITLE WEBSITE DEVELOPER INTERN NATURE OF JOB FULL TIME STIPEND KSHS.20,000 JOB LOCATION NAIROBI (CBD)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Website Development and Maintenance
  • Assist in developing and maintaining websites using WordPress.
  • Support creation and customization of themes and plugins where required.
  • Perform regular website updates, including content, images, and plugins.
  • Ensure websites are functional, responsive, and user-friendly across devices.

WordPress Management
  • Manage WordPress CMS including posts, pages, menus, and media.
  • Support customization of WordPress themes to match brand requirements.
  • Assist in basic plugin configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure website security updates and backups are done regularly.

Website Performance and Optimization
  • Monitor website performance, speed, and uptime.
  • Assist in implementing basic SEO best practices.
  • Identify and report technical issues affecting site performance.
  • Support optimization of website loading speed and user experience.

Content Updates and Coordination
  • Update website content in line with marketing campaigns and product updates.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure content accuracy and consistency.
  • Upload and format new content including blogs, banners, and landing pages.
  • Ensure timely updates for promotions, announcements, and campaigns.

Technical Support
  • Assist in troubleshooting website errors and bugs.
  • Support integration of third-party tools and plugins where required.
  • Provide basic technical support to internal teams regarding website usage.

Collaboration and Reporting
  • Work closely with marketing, design, and development teams.
  • Provide updates on website changes, issues, and improvements.
  • Document tasks completed and report progress to the supervisor.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Diploma or Degree in Web Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with website hosting environments and CMS management.
  • Good understanding of website performance and SEO basics.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Creativity in web design and user experience.
