Job Description
JOB TITLE: SEWING MACHINE TECHNICIAN NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME SALARY: KSHS.30,000 JOB LOCATION: NAIROBI- CBD

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Machine Repair & Maintenance
  • Diagnose faults and repair all types of sewing machines, including domestic, industrial, manual, and digital/computerized models.
  • Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and machine inspections.
  • Replace defective parts and ensure machines are restored to optimal working condition.
  • Test repaired machines to confirm proper functionality and performance.

Technical Support
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to customers on machine operation and maintenance.
  • Respond to service requests and troubleshoot machine-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.

Workshop & Operations
  • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and organized.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend replenishment when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Support branch operations by attending to repair needs across Nairobi, Thika, and Ngong branches when required.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Certificate, Diploma, or relevant technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in repairing and servicing sewing machines.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic, industrial, manual, and computerized sewing machines.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately.
  • Experience working with different sewing machine brands is an added advantage.
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
