Job Description
Job Summary
This role requires excellent communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects and engineers. In order to succeed, it’simportant to know how to implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite.
What You’ll Do
Supervise the following construction activities;
Internal road
Sewer line
Stormwater
Reticulation
Electrical
Small service buildings
Landscaping
Any other tasks assigned by management.
Responsibilities
Responsible for your team’s safety and others affected by your work’s scope on a day-to-day basis
Provide full-time hands-on on-site supervision
Effectively allocate labour, equipment, materials and artisans to maximise productivity and safety and to minimise deficiencies
Effectively understand project schedules to ensure deadlines are met on time
Communicate scope of work requirements to artisans, review production and quality and ensure implementation
Calculate, monitor and track all materials required for each project, ensuring no overruns
Correspond with the project manager team regarding all adjustments as required ensuring any materials are ordered in advance to meet deadlines
Conduct daily toolbox talks for your team
Resolve day-to-day field personnel issues
Other Assignments as required
Key Attributes
Should possess at least a diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
