Job Description
Position Summary
The Creative Lead is responsible for leading Woodnork Green’s creative function from brief interpretation and concept development through design, print execution, production verification and final output quality.
The role requires a hands-on creative professional who can lead Graphic designers, 3D Designers and Print Operators and ensure concepts are innovative, technically feasible and accurately executed.
Key responsibilities (summary):
Lead and coordinate the Graphic Design, 3D Design and Print Operator teams, including allocation of briefs and delivery timelines.
Interpret client briefs and provide clear creative direction for branding, activation, events, signage, displays, fabrication and experiential projects.
Review and approve designs, 3D renders and artwork before client presentation or production.
Oversee print execution and verify artwork, dimensions, resolution, color, substrates/materials, finishing and quantities before and after printing.
Apply working knowledge of large-format printing machines, print processes, substrates, color management and finishing techniques to guide execution and resolve output challenges.
Work closely with machine operators, Projects, Printing and Production teams to ensure designs are production-ready and successfully executed.
Conduct creative and print quality verification before dispatch, installation or client handover, reducing reprints, wastage and production errors.
Manage multiple briefs and projects, proactively identifying design or production risks and ensuring agreed timelines are met
Mentor designers and build creativity, accountability, quality consciousness and teamwork within the department. Education / Training
Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Creative Design, Multimedia Design or a related field.
Relevant professional training in design, 3D visualization or print production is an added advantage.
Experience/ Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a creative/design environment, preferably within branding, printing, signage, advertising, experiential marketing, events or fabrication.
Demonstrable experience leading or supervising a creative/design team.
Strong practical experience in print production, artwork preparation, print execution and output verification
Working knowledge of large-format printing machines and processes.
Strong portfolio demonstrating creative capability and successfully executed projects.
Adaptability and flexibility – able to adjust to changing priorities, briefs, timelines, and work demands. Software & Tools
Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
3D software (SketchUp, 3ds Max, Blender, or similar)
CAD knowledge (AutoCAD or similar) is an added advantage
