Job Description

JOB TITLE SUPERMARKET SUPERVISOR

NATURE OF JOB FULL TIME

INDUSTRY RETAIL

SALARY KSHS. 22,000-25,000

JOB LOCATION RUIRU

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Store Operations

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket.

· Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully operational.

· Monitor opening and closing procedures.

Team Leadership

· Supervise, coach, and motivate store employees.

· Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance.

· Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback.

Inventory Management

· Monitor stock availability and coordinate replenishment.

· Ensure proper merchandising and product display standards.

· Minimize stock losses through effective stock control practices.

Customer Service

· Ensure customers receive prompt and professional assistance.

· Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues where necessary.

· Promote a positive shopping experience at all times.

Cash & Compliance

· Supervise cash handling and daily cash reconciliations.

· Ensure adherence to company policies and operating procedures.

· Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Reporting & Administration

· Prepare daily operational and sales reports.

· Coordinate with management on store performance and operational issues.

· Perform any other supervisory duties assigned by management.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

· Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.

· Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Supervisor or Manager in a supermarket or retail environment.

· Demonstrated experience overseeing daily supermarket operations.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
