About the Role We are a growing technical and vocational education institution seeking an experienced and results-driven Principal to provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership across the institution. The Principal will be responsible for driving institutional growth, academic excellence, student enrollment, staff performance, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in senior management or administration within a TVET, technical college, university, or other learning institution, with a strong understanding of Kenya's TVET regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall oversight of academic and administrative operations.
• Lead the implementation of the institution's strategic objectives and growth plans.
• Coordinate academic programs and administrative activities to ensure effective institutional performance.
• Lead, supervise, and evaluate staff performance, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Drive student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and institutional growth initiatives.
• Oversee the implementation of institutional fee policies and ensure effective revenue management.
• Provide leadership in examination planning, coordination, administration, and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with TVET regulations, institutional policies, and requirements of relevant regulatory and examining bodies.
• Manage relationships and ensure compliance with examining and assessment bodies, including NITA, ICM, CDACC, KNEC, and other relevant bodies.
• Monitor academic quality, student welfare, and overall institutional standards.
• Represent the institution in engagements with regulators, partners, parents, students, and other key stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for institutional partnerships, program development, and sustainable growth.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Technical Education, Business Administration, Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in senior administration or management within a TVET institution, technical college, university, or other learning institution.
• Proven experience in institutional leadership, academic administration, and staff management.
• Strong knowledge of TVET regulations, policies, and compliance requirements in Kenya.
• Experience working with or managing requirements related to NITA, ICM, CDACC, KNEC, and other examining or regulatory bodies.
• Demonstrated experience in student enrollment, institutional growth, examination management, and operational oversight.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
