NIGHT DUTY SUPERVISOR

• Responsibilities
• Take charge of nursing and operational activities across the hospital at night
• Allocate staff, monitor workloads and ensure safe staffing levels
• Support and supervise clinical care and respond to emergencies and deteriorating patients
• Manage incidents, complaints and escalations and inform management as required
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges and bed/recovery management overnight
• Ensure adherence to policies, infection control and safety standards
• Compile a night report and hand over to day management
• Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.

Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana with a valid practising certificate.

• Minimum of 4 years’ post-registration nursing experience
• Prior supervisory or charge-nurse experience
• Post-basic qualification in a clinical area or nursing management (desirable)
• Experience across multiple clinical areas (desirable)
