Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.
  • Provide legal advice to management and various business units on operational and commercial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Ghanaian laws, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise management on legal implications.
  • Manage legal disputes and coordinate with external solicitors where necessary.
  • Support corporate governance activities, including statutory filings and regulatory reporting.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and reports.
  • Review procurement, employment, and vendor agreements to minimize legal risks.
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate records of legal documents and confidential information.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB).
  • A professional qualification from the Ghana School of Law (BL) and enrollment as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate, commercial, or in-house legal practice.
  • Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, agribusiness, or a multinational organization is an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of Ghanaian corporate, commercial, labour, and contract law.
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
