Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Program Implementation:
Qualifications and Education:
- Design and deliver entrepreneurship training curricula, workshops, and bootcamps tailored to FAWEGH’s participants and alumni at different stages of business development.
- Identify, screen, and onboard participants/alumni with viable business ideas into an incubation or mentorship pipeline
- Develop and maintain partnerships with incubators, accelerators, financial institutions, and grant-making bodies to create funding and growth pathways for participants' ventures.
- Organize pitch competitions, demo days, networking events, and alumni showcases to profile scholar-led enterprises.
- Support fundraising efforts by contributing programme data, case studies, and content for grant proposals and donor reports.
- Lead the day-to-day rollout of entrepreneurship and livelihood projects for FAWE Ghana
- Coordinate business incubation and mentorship programmes for participants
- Conduct needs assessments and identify potential entrepreneurs among participants.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to document and share success stories and impact data with donors and stakeholders
- Design business training modules (e.g., financial literacy, marketing) and facilitate capacity-building workshops for entrepreneurs on the programme
- Organize workshops, seminars, and business clinics for participating entrepreneurs.
- Connect participants to entrepreneurship opportunities
- Recruit, coordinate, and manage a network of business mentors, coaches, and industry volunteers to support participants.
- Provide ongoing guidance to participants who are entrepreneurs, helping them refine business ideas, develop viable business plans and connecting them to similar entrepreneurs in their field
- Collaborate with local authorities, community leaders, financial institutions, and private sector actors to build sustainable business opportunities. for successful participants.
- Support fundraising efforts by contributing programme data, case studies, and content for grant proposals and donor reports.
- Track, monitor, and report on entrepreneurship programme outcomes (e.g., number of businesses launched, jobs created, revenue generated) using clear M and E frameworks
- Track project milestones, gather data on participants entrepreneurial journey, and prepare regular progress reports for management decision-making
- Conduct regular field visits and maintain accurate participant records
- Help entrepreneurs identify market opportunities by facilitating business networking events and connecting participants to such opportunities
- Provide one-on-one advisory support to scholars on business planning, financial literacy, marketing, and access to markets.
- Stay current on entrepreneurship ecosystem trends, funding opportunities, and best practices relevant to FAWEGH's participants.
Qualifications and Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Economics, Social Science, or related field (Master’s degree an advantage).
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in entrepreneurship development, business incubation, youth enterprise support, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating entrepreneurship or business skills training.
- Experience working with youth, students, or scholarship/alumni populations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the local entrepreneurship ecosystem, including funders, incubators, and support organizations.
- Prior experience in a non-profit or donor-funded programme environment is an advantage.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentorship skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
- Sound understanding of business planning, financial literacy, and basic startup finance/funding mechanisms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and public speaking.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in monitoring, evaluation, and impact reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM or programme management tools is a plus.
- High level of integrity, initiative, and passion for youth development and education.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively and efficiently
- Proficiency in using MS Office suite for documentation and reporting tasks
- A commitment to the mission, vision, and values of FAWE Ghana.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the environment and people, including culture.
