UNDERGROUND MINING SITE MANAGER

• Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and direction on the site operations.

Ensure operational targets, project milestones and contractual deliverables are achieved.

Drive operational excellence through effective planning, execution and monitoring.

Identify operational, safety, commercial and reputational risks.

Ensure Site compliance with contractual obligations and commercial requirements.

Provide visible leadership and commitment to a zero-harm safety culture.

Review project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism and teamwork.

• Requirements
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Shaft sinking mining environment
• Minimum 7-10 years’ experience as a Shift foreman/Shift boss
• Mine Overseer’s certificate of competency
• Blasting certificate and Shift supervisor/foreman certificate
• Postgraduate qualification – advantageous
• Driver’s License, First Aid & CPR certificate
• Extensive experience in vertical sinking construction
• Proven experience managing large-scale projects and working in African mining environments
