Duties & Responsibilities Supervising support staff including cleaners, laundry operators, cooks, mortuary attendants, groundsmen, waste handlers and casual workers within the facility; Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in wards, theatres, clinics, kitchens, laundry and hospital compound Managing and supervising hospital laundry, cleaning, waste segregation, collection and disposal in accordance with NEMA and public health regulations; Ensuring proper use, custody and accountability of cleaning materials, detergents, linen, kitchen utensils and other support equipment; Preparing and submitting monthly reports on support services and staff performance Ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act and reporting any hazards or maintenance needs; Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor. Job Requirements For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: Be a Kenyan Citizen; Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade C- or its equivalent; Certificate in public Administration, Management or its equivalent; Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya.
