Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of construction sites to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Supervise contractors, subcontractors, artisans, and site personnel.
  • Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate daily site activities and allocate resources effectively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
  • Develop and implement site work plans in collaboration with project managers and consultants.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate the delivery and proper use of construction materials, equipment, and labour.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, consultants, and clients.
  • Resolve site-related technical and operational issues promptly.
  • Ensure all construction work meets company quality standards and project specifications.
  • Inspect completed work and address defects or non-conformance issues.
  • Verify that materials used on-site comply with approved standards.
  • Maintain quality control records and inspection reports.
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure all workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and mitigate site risks to prevent accidents and delays.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and statutory regulations.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
  • Maintain records of site activities, labour attendance, material usage, and equipment.
  • Monitor project costs and assist in controlling site expenses.
  • Report project progress, challenges, and management recommendations.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of an HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven years of experience in construction site management or project supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, site operations, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and meet project deadlines.
