Retail Sales Assistant

We are looking for a friendly, energetic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, promoting products, processing sales and maintaining a clean and attractive store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and recommendations.
• Promote products, specials and promotional offers.
• Achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
• Keep the sales floor clean, organised and presentable.
• Maintain good product knowledge.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Follow company policies, procedures and loss-prevention practices.
• Work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Previous retail or customer-service experience will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused and approachable personality.
• Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual and well-presented.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
