Candidate assessments, free, for companies in South Africa
Send a test to any candidate through a link — whether they messaged you on WhatsApp, handed you a printed CV or came through a referral. They take it on their phone, with no account and nothing to install, and the result appears in their profile on its own.

What you know about a candidate before hiring them
Most hiring decisions are made on what the CV says and the impression left by a twenty-minute interview.
For many roles that is enough. But when the job calls for calculating without slipping, checking without missing anything or handling an angry customer, a conversation does not show it: the task does. A short, well-aimed test does not replace the interview — it adds what the interview cannot see.
Where the candidate comes from and where their result lands
It does not matter how they reached you. If you have their contact, you can assess them.
With the score, the breakdown by competency and how long they took. Nothing to enter by hand.
How to send an assessment to a candidate, in three steps
Pick the test and the candidate
Open the person profile and choose one or more tests from the catalogue.
Send them the link
Saplic generates a single-use link. Copy it, or send it by email or WhatsApp right there.
See the result in their profile
When they finish, the score and the breakdown by competency sit in their profile, next to the rest of the process.
What you can measure with Saplic assessments
Five ready-made tests, plus the option to build your own.
Logical reasoning
Series, patterns and deduction. For roles where new situations have to be solved without a manual.
Numerical reasoning
Percentages, ratios and applied arithmetic. For cash handling, stock, invoicing and sales.
Verbal reasoning
Understanding texts and written instructions. For administrative and front-desk roles.
Attention to detail
Spotting differences, errors and figures that do not add up. For quality control and document work.
Customer service
Real service situations and how a complaint is handled.
Or build your own
Write your own single-choice, multiple-choice or true/false questions, mark the correct answer and save them to reuse.
15 ready-made tests: 5 types in Spanish, Portuguese and English, 15 questions each.
What makes the assessment link different
It is the piece that lets you assess someone who has never used Saplic.
saplic.com/evaluacion/7FH82K…
Opens on a phone, nothing to install
No account to create and no app to download. They tap the link and start.
If their connection drops, it picks up where they left off
Every answer saves as it is given. They can close the page and come back later without losing anything.
Single use, with a deadline and a time limit
Once finished, the link stops working. The clock runs on the server, not in the browser.
Works for candidates who have never used Saplic
The person needs no account and no profile. You are the one who sees the result inside your ATS.
How the result looks in the candidate profile
This is a finished assessment, inside the hiring process.
What these assessments are not
They do not say whether someone is honest and they diagnose nothing. They measure performance on a concrete task, not traits of the person.
They are not professionally validated psychometric tests. They are a supporting assessment for the selection process.
They are one more input, read alongside the interview, the experience and the references. Never a verdict on their own.

Frequently asked questions about candidate assessments
Does the candidate need a Saplic account?
No. The assessment opens from a single-use link and asks for no sign-up and no password. The person opens it, accepts the privacy notice and answers. This also holds for candidates who have never used Saplic and may never do so.
Does it work for candidates who reached me on WhatsApp?
Yes, and that is exactly what it was built for. You add the person to Saplic with their name and phone, generate the link and send it through the same WhatsApp chat you were already using. The result lands in their profile just like it would for someone who applied through the site.
Can they cheat?
As with any remote test, it cannot be ruled out entirely. What Saplic does is leave a record: the clock runs on the server rather than the browser, the link works only once, and if the connection or the device changes partway through it is noted on the result. That is why the score is read alongside the interview, not instead of it.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, and it was designed for it: most candidates take it on their phone. Questions appear one at a time with large buttons, and if the connection drops the answers already saved are not lost.
Can I write my own questions?
Yes. Beyond the ready-made tests, you can build your own with single-choice, multiple-choice or true/false questions, mark the correct answer and give each one a score. They are saved so you can reuse them whenever you want.
Does the candidate see their score?
Only if you decide so. When you generate the link you choose whether the result is shown to them at the end. If you leave it off, the person sees a thank-you screen and the score stays on your side only.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. Candidate assessments are included in the free Saplic account in South Africa, with no cap on assessments sent and no cost per candidate assessed.
