Duties and responsibilities
The Research Assistant (Ethnology) will support research activities, including field data collection, data entry, literature review, reporting, manuscript preparation, and research project planning. The specific duties include:
- To assist in field data collection, computer data entry, data analysis, and gathering of relevant literature under close supervision of Senior Researchers.
- To prepare and submit technical reports to the respective supervisor.
- To prepare and submit draft manuscripts to the respective supervisor for review.
- To train and supervise other technicians.
- To assist in preparing research progress reports according to respective work plans.
- To assist in the planning of specific research projects.
- To assist in preparing fundable research proposals and consultancies.
- To perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor Degree in Ethnology or Cultural Heritage from any recognized higher learning institution.
Applicants must have scored at least Upper Second Class or an overall minimum pass of grade B+ for unclassified degrees.
