- Responsibilities
Grade and assess diamonds across the following processes: Rough Preparation, Auto, Bruting, Final Bottom, Top8, Girdle Faceting, Table Smoothing, Stars and Halves, and/or Final Quality Control, in line with the Company’s quality specifications.
Provide feedback to operators and work closely with factory leaders to ensure procedures are followed and diamonds are graded to the required standards.
- Requirements
Applicants must have a BGCSE/O Level certificate or a Graduate Gemmologist certificate from a recognised institution (GIA, IGI, AGS, HRD, EGL), with a proven gemology background and relevant experience.
Proven ability to perform QC/grading of fancy shapes, including Princess, Cushion, Radiant, Emerald, Asscher, Oval, and Pear.
Demonstrated diamond grading experience, with expertise in EX, VG, and G makes for both round and fancy shapes.
Strong understanding of quality control for both part-processed and fully polished diamonds.
Experience in polishing fancy shapes (round and square) will be an added advantage.
- Experience using Microscope, and other diamond evaluation equipment (e.g. Sarine Tech)
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
Strong attention to detail, with high levels of concentration.
Good spoken English and basic written English skills.
