Property Caretaker

Job Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance and Upkeep:

• Housekeeping: Ensuring communal or vacant areas are clean, emptying bins, cutting grass, vacuuming or dusting. changing filters for reverse osmosis
• Equipment Checks: Regularly inspecting the reverse osmosis machine, AC’S, fans, cookers, generator, washing machines, lighting and alarm systems to guarantee they function correctly. Keeping a log of the 4X4 car for guests
• Basic Repairs: Performing simple DIY fixes such as light bulb & battery replacements etc

Security and Oversight:

• Access Control: Opening up building in the morning and properly securing/locking up at night.
• Monitoring: Managing CCTV cameras, checking door locks, and conducting environmental checks on the premises.
• Emergency Response: Being the first point of contact for alarm triggers, leaks, or property-related emergencies.

Groundskeeping and Exterior Care:

• Landscaping: Cutting/Mowing lawns and clearing landscape and paths
• Exterior Cleaning: Cleaning concrete slabs with a pressure washer.

Vendor and Administrative Management:

• Contractor Coordination: Scheduling and supervising external contractors for minor repairs (e.g., plumbers, electricians).
• Compliance: Ensuring the property complies with Ghana Tourist Authority laws, local safety, fire, and health regulations.
• Record Keeping: Logging service history, tracking maintenance budgets, and ordering necessary supplies.

Persons Specification and Qualification:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a caretaker
• Must be reliable and flexible to work on days/nights
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Minimum of SHS certificate

Salary:

• Basic Remittance: 1,500 GHC monthly. One thousand five hundred cedis only, paid monthly plus 5% commission on total bookings of 15 guests per month
