  • RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop the Loans and Savings Product Strategy and Execution:

Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for loans and savings products, aligning with Airtel Africa's overall business objectives and market opportunities.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and gaps in the current offerings.

Define product vision, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch optimization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, operations, and marketing to deliver high-quality products.

Manage product backlog and prioritize features based on customer feedback, market trends, and business value.

Enhance Financial and Business Performance:

Monitor and analyze product performance, financial metrics, and market trends to ensure products meet revenue and profitability targets.

Prepare and present regular reports on product performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Champion Customer Experience and Insights for Loans and Savings Products:

Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive product enhancements and improve user experience.

Develop customer personas and user journeys to ensure products meet diverse needs and preferences.

Develop product Key facts documents and FAQs both for customers and for the Customer facing staff at Contact Centre and at the Airtel Shops.

Coordinate Effective Internal and External Operational Support for Airtel Money Loans and Savings:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, compliance, and marketing, to integrate banking products seamlessly.

Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in loans and savings.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure all products adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development and deployment.

Forge Strategic Partnerships:

Manage relationships with Loan and Savings partners and deliver Key strategic partnerships.

Communicate product vision, goals, and updates effectively to all relevant stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards for Loans and Savings.

Team and Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with marketing and sales teams to promote loans and savings products.

Lead and drive engagement with the multi-level, cross-functional stakeholders to justify prioritization and roadmap delivery for loans and savings products.

Provide required product reports as input to the Airtel Money weekly and monthly reports, including roadmaps and performance against target dates.

  • Requirements
  • QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or IT related field.

3–5 years' experience in:

  • Digital financial services / mobile money
  • Banking products or lending
  • Credit risk and portfolio management

Proven experience in wallet-based or digital lending products (OD, BNPL).

Strong exposure to partner-driven ecosystems (bank + fintech + telco).
