- Requirements
A Master’s Degree in any of the advertised specialisation areas, or in a closely related field acceptable to the institution.
A teaching qualification, such as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), or evidence of formal training in higher education teaching and assessment will be an added advantage.
Membership of a relevant and recognised professional body will be an added advantage.
BQA accreditation, or eligibility for accreditation with BQA or another recognised qualifications authority.
Relevant industry certification in the area of specialisation will be an added advantage.
At least four (4) years of post-qualification experience in the relevant discipline, preferably including tertiary teaching, curriculum development, assessment, research or industry practice.
Demonstrable ability to teach and supervise student projects in subjects aligned to the candidate’s area of specialisation.
