Job Description

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized Institution (KRCHN)

· Registered and with a valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)

· Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

· Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience, preferably in a diagnostic or healthcare setting

· Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).

· Good communication and interpersonal skills


Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver professional, patient-centered nursing care, ensuring high-quality assessments, monitoring, and interventions.

· Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient needs, concerns, and providing clear health education.

· Assist with sample collection, preparation, and processing according to standard procedures.

· Competency in phlebotomy skills, including the safe and efficient collection of blood samples for diagnostic and clinical purposes.

· Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

· Collaborate effectively with laboratory, medical, and administrative staff to ensure seamless, high-quality care.

· Uphold hygiene, safety, and equipment standards; report issues promptly.

· Act ethically and professionally within a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of excellence.

· Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide care according to established guidelines.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives, applying research findings to enhance quality of care.

· Provide compassionate psychological support and advocate for patient well-being.

· Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
