Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions.
- Provide prompt and effective care for medical, surgical, paediatric, and obstetric emergencies.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records.
- Collaborate effectively with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Adhere to established clinical protocols, ethical standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in ward rounds, emergency response, and other clinical duties as assigned.
- Work scheduled shifts and duty rosters, including weekends and public holidays where required.
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.
Requirements:
- MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Valid and current MDCN Practicing License.
- Relevant 2-3years post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong competence in managing medical, surgical, paediatric, and obstetric emergencies.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient-centered care.
