Job Description

Responsibilities
Assess, triage, resuscitate and manage emergency and acutely ill or injured patients
Order and interpret investigations and initiate appropriate treatment
Perform emergency procedures within scope of competence
Admit, refer or discharge patients with clear documentation and handover
Liaise with specialists, wards, theatre and ambulance services
Participate in continuous quality improvement, morbidity review and clinical audit
Adhere to hospital clinical protocols and JCI-aligned standards
Requirements
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) or equivalent from a recognised institution
Current registration with the Botswana Health Professions Council (BHPC)
Completed internship and any required community service
Current ACLS/ATLS certification or willingness to obtain
Experience in emergency medicine or acute care (desirable)
Additional qualification or training in emergency medicine (desirable)
