Job Description
  • Responsibilities
  • Receive, label and analyse samples per standard procedures; interpret and present findings
  • Record all data and results accurately, on paper and electronically
  • Store chemicals, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
  • Maintain equipment, daily logs and record books; assist with ordering supplies
  • Follow all safety guidelines strictly and keep a clean, orderly environment
  • Requirements
  • BSc in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or a related field
  • Valid laboratory technician licence
  • Proven experience as a lab technician, including lab equipment and potentially hazardous substances
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems
  • Experience of working in a QC and R&D laboratory setting (desirable)
  • Understanding of complex laboratory machinery and related computer programs (desirable)
