Job Description

qualifications.

The position would suit an enthusiastic, self-motivated Electrical Engineer having at least 3 plus years of factory maintenance experience in a busy production environment and holding a  Diploma in Electrical Engineering and or Electrical Trade C qualification.

In addition, the incumbent would require knowledge and experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, automated PLC systems plus a working knowledge of computer integrated controls and the ability to do mechanical repairs.

The company is offering an attractive package which will be based on the level of experience and qualifications.

Job Scope:

Busy production environment.

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering and or Electrical Trade C qualification

Electrical fault finding and repairs.

Electrical DB board cleaning.

  • Basic pneumatic fault finding and repairs
  • Basic hydraulic fault finding and repairs

Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams.

General mechanical repairs.

Be available for after-hours call out when required.

Carry out periodical equipment audits to determine the spares required for machinery and carry out inventory of critical spares as and when required.

Identify spares required and arrange procurement with the relevant suppliers via the Engineering Manager.

Assist Factory manager, Production Manager and his crew in achieving optimum machine settings during equipment commissions as and when required.

Ensures statutory requirements are met in relation to the employment act and any other relevant legislation in force.

Be involved in all health and safety aspects of the company.

Reports to Engineering Manager.
