• Responsibilities

Conducting routine in-store loss control audits to ensure adherence to internal controls.

Compilation of audit findings to highlight business risks and recommend solutions.

Participate in routine stocktaking to ensure that stocktaking processes are adhered to.

Carry-out ad hoc investigative assignments and submit findings to senior management.

Consult with the Botswana Police Service for any reported cases that may still be pending.

Do presentations at staff meetings to promote risk awareness and staff participation in loss prevention efforts.

Advise senior management on initiatives that could be utilized to enhance loss prevention.

Build and maintain good relations with key stakeholders e.g store management, contracted security services providers, and Botswana Police Service.

• Requirements

Botswana General Certificate in Secondary Education (BGCSE) or an equivalent qualification. A higher academic qualification or professional certification in security management or risk management will be an added advantage.

At least five (5) years’ work experience with responsibilities relating to developing and implementing security procedures, risk management, risk audits, or loss control measures. At least three (3) years’ work experience must have been at a managerial/supervisory level.

Ability to conduct risk assessments and fully investigate incidents/occurrences to the end.

Ability to initiate and coordinate loss control initiatives for an assignment that covers several branches.

Be able to promote risk awareness among staff and their participation in loss prevention.

Be able to compile and interpret management reports and develop effective action plans.

Trustworthy and committed to ethical business practices for the benefit of all stakeholders.

A valid Class B driver’s license.
