The Laboratory Assistant II – Minerals will be responsible for the following duties:

• Performing specified laboratory duties under close supervision.
• Performing general cleaning of laboratory glassware.
• Taking care of instruments and equipment in the laboratory.
• Performing any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Holder of a Form IV certificate.
• Must have Competence Based Education and Training (CBET) Level II or Trade Test Grade II in Mineral Processing Engineering.
• The qualification must be obtained from a recognized institution.

Remuneration

The successful candidate will be paid according to the PUSS 1 salary scale.
