KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Maintain business operations and ensure quality BAU (Business as usual).
  • Develop, review and supervise the delivery of programs, events, services and policies.
  • Lead the advocacy work and draft submissions as required.
  • Manage finances, including bookkeeping, accounting, taxation, budgeting and grants.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reports are provided to the stakeholders.
  • Analyse and improve the effective utilisation of information technology systems.
  • Maintain website, social media and other IT systems.
  • Execute the procedures required for grant/funding applications and acquittals.
  • Manage HR, including performance, payroll, contracts, entitlements and superannuation.
  • Lead communication strategies and manage newsletters.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and represent MCNT as required.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and support other staff as required.

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in Management, Business Administration, Community Services, or a related field or equivalent demonstrated senior management experience. Experience with MYOB preferred.
  • Proven experience in senior management or leadership roles, preferably within the community, not-for-profit or multicultural sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting and grant funding.
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance and reporting obligations.
  • Experience managing staff, contractors and workplace performance.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and advocacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities autonomously.
  • High-level computer literacy, including MS Office and online systems.
  • Current Police Clearance and Working with Children (Ochre Card), or willingness to obtain.
  • Flexibility to work after hours and weekends when required.
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle.
