About the role
Nundah Community Enterprises Cooperative is seeking a Gardening Supervisor, for up to five days per week to join our team in Nundah, Brisbane. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing one of our community-based gardening crews, taking on corporate and government work.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise a small team of gardeners to deliver quality services (mowing, hedging and basic gardening work)
- Engage as a team member in hands on work
- Provide on-the-job training to junior staff
- Manage equipment, supplies and resources to ensure effective operations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
- Experience in gardening or landscaping
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team, providing guidance and support
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Relevant qualifications in horticulture, landscaping or a related field
- A current driver's licence and the ability to operate various landscaping equipment (mower, trimer, hedger etc)
- A commitment to inclusion of people from diverse backgrounds

Payment is a level 4/5 of the Gardening and Landscaping Award 2020, pending experience and responsibilities.
Final wage determination will be within the range outlined, based upon level of experience, gardening qualifications and responsibilities. In addition to this the applicant will receive relevant allowances (including leading hand and first aid) superannuation and the opportunity to enter into a salary packaging arrangement related to our not for profit status, which increases take home income.
