Formulation and Quality Control Chemist

DUTY STATION: Kapeeka-Semuto Road, Sanga, Wakiso REPORTS TO: Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY The Formulation and Quality Control Chemist will play a critical dual role of developing innovative personal care and home care formulations while ensuring all products meet the highest quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Perform complete review, verification, and validation for raw materials and products to ensure conformity to mandatory standards and fitness for use 2. Work with the production team to ensure consistency in product quality 3. Monitor production processes and carry out basic testing and quality checks 4. Lead the development of new and innovative products 5. Accurately maintain quality and R&D records 6. Coordinate and oversee UNBS product certification processes 7. Review and sign off specifications 8. Any other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 1. BSC Industrial Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or other related field from a reputable university 2. Minimum of three (03) years of working experience in a similar manufacturing company as a Quality Controller, Production Technician, or R&D Officer.
