Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct valuations of residential, commercial, industrial, and specialized properties for sales, acquisitions, mortgage, insurance, taxation, and investment purposes.
- Prepare detailed valuation reports in accordance with professional standards and industry regulations.
- Carry out property inspections to assess physical condition, market value, and investment potential.
- Conduct feasibility studies and highest-and-best-use analyses for development projects.
- Manage residential and commercial property portfolios on behalf of clients.
- Coordinate lease administration, tenancy management, rent collection, and lease renewals.
- Conduct routine property inspections and ensure properties are properly maintained.
- Oversee maintenance activities and liaise with contractors, facility managers, and service providers.
- Provide professional advice on property acquisition, disposal, leasing, and investment decisions.
- Conduct market research and analyze property market trends.
- Prepare feasibility studies, investment appraisals, and market analysis reports.
- Advise clients on maximizing the value and performance of their real estate assets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, investors, tenants, developers, financial institutions, and government agencies.
- Negotiate lease agreements, management contracts, and property transactions.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide timely professional guidance.
- Represent the company during property inspections, meetings, and negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant property laws, regulations, and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate records of property inspections, valuations, leases, and client documentation.
- Prepare periodic management reports and property performance updates.
- Support due diligence activities during property transactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Estate Management and Valuation.
- Proven years of experience in estate surveying, property valuation, or property management.
- Membership of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) is required or in progress.
- Registration with the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, estate management principles, and Nigerian property laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, report-writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
