Job Description
JOB TITLE DRIVER (TOUR GUIDE) NATURE OF JOB FULL TIME INDUSTRY TOURISM & HOSPITALITY SALARY KSHS. 20,000 JOB LOCATION MARA RIVER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Transportation & Tour Support
  • Safely transport tourists and guests to designated destinations according to approved travel itineraries.
  • Ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off of guests while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
  • Provide basic tour guidance and helpful information about destinations, routes, and attractions where necessary.
  • Assist guests with luggage and ensure passenger comfort throughout the trip.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company transportation policies.

 Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
  • Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, fueled, and roadworthy at all times.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.
  • Report mechanical faults, damages, or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Monitor vehicle servicing schedules and ensure timely maintenance.
  • Maintain proper vehicle records, insurance, and licensing documentation where required.

Customer Service
  • Welcome guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout the journey.
  • Respond professionally to guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and helpful attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Support the overall guest experience by ensuring safe, smooth, and comfortable travel arrangements.

Reporting & Accountability
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel usage records, and mileage reports.
  • Report incidents, delays, accidents, or operational concerns promptly to management.
  • Ensure proper care and accountability for assigned company vehicle and related equipment.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, transport services, or a related field.
  • Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
  • Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with local and international guests.
  • Basic understanding of tourist destinations and routes within the Mara region is an added advantage.
  • Physically fit and willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays where required.
