- Responsibilities
Prepare and serve daily meals for learners, following the Centre’s meal plans and Dietary requirements.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with Centre’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Work closely with other staff to ensure the mealtime needs of all learners are met.
Manage kitchen inventory and report any shortages or needs.
Adhere to safety and health regulations at all times.
- Requirements
Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a school, care home, or similar setting.
Ability to read, write, and clearly understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Basic understanding of nutrition and food safety.
Willingness to work as part of a team and support the needs of visually impaired Learners.
Compassionate and responsible individual with a strong work ethic.
ADDED ADVANTAGE: Experience working with children or learners with special needs.
ADDED ADVANTAGE: Ability to speak and write in both English and Setswana.
