- OVERVIEW
Patsinde is a Malawian non-governmental organisation that collects real-time evidence from communities and transforms it into practical solutions implemented directly or through district councils, government institutions, and development partners.
- The organisation is inviting suitably qualified and experienced individuals to serve as
- Board Members
. These positions are voluntary and unpaid, offering an opportunity to provide strategic leadership and contribute to strengthening governance, partnerships, and organisational growth.
Successful candidates will begin serving immediately upon appointment.
- AVAILABLE POSITIONS
- Board Chairperson
Lead the Board of Directors and chair board meetings.
Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the organisation.
Represent Patsinde at the highest level.
Promote effective governance and organisational accountability.
- Board Secretary
Maintain accurate records of board meetings and decisions.
Ensure compliance with the organisation's constitution and the NGO Act.
Support effective board administration and governance.
- Board Member – Governance (Minimum 3 Positions)
Provide strategic oversight on governance and organisational leadership.
Guide compliance with NGORA requirements and other regulatory obligations.
Support effective board decision-making and organisational development.
- Board Member – Fundraising and Partnerships
Support resource mobilisation initiatives.
Build and strengthen relationships with donors and development partners.
Provide strategic guidance on fundraising and partnership development.
- Requirements
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should possess:
A Master's Degree in a relevant field.
A PhD will be an added advantage.
At least five (5) years' relevant professional experience.
Experience in governance, leadership, fundraising, partnerships, compliance, or related fields depending on the position applied for.
- SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Sound judgement and integrity.
Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
Ability to commit at least one (1) hour per month.
No conflicts of interest.
Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
