- OVERVIEW
Montessori College of Education is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Dean of Faculty. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the Faculty, oversee academic programmes, and ensure compliance with NCHE standards.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership to the Faculty.
Oversee academic programmes and ensure compliance with NCHE standards.
Lead curriculum review and programme development.
Coordinate teaching, research, and community engagement activities.
Mentor and supervise academic staff.
Promote research, innovation, and scholarly publications.
Manage faculty budgets and resources.
Prepare faculty reports and strategic plans.
Foster partnerships with stakeholders and professional bodies.
- Requirements
- KEY REQUIREMENTS
PhD in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education is preferred. Candidates with a Master's in Education (Early Childhood/Primary) with relevant experience may also be considered.
At least five (5) years of university or college teaching experience.
At least three (3) years of academic leadership experience at Head of Department, Dean, or equivalent level.
Demonstrated record of research publications and academic supervision.
Experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and academic administration.
Excellent leadership and management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
