Must have Degree/ Diploma in Automative Engineering with 3years of experience as lead Supervisor role.
A. Workshop Operations & Job Flow
- Plan and allocate jobs to technicians based on skill, urgency, and bay availability
- Monitor daily workshop schedule to meet promised vehicle delivery times
- Do in-progress and final quality checks on repairs before vehicle release
- Coordinate with Parts/Store for parts availability to avoid job delays
- Ensure workshop cleanliness, 5S standards, and tool accountability
B. Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise mechanics, technicians, apprentices, and wash bay staff
- Conduct morning briefings: job targets, safety, and technical updates
- Train and upskill technicians on new models, diagnostics, and SOPs
- Monitor staff attendance, productivity, and conduct. Report HR issues
- Enforce PPE use, safety rules, and housekeeping standards
C. Technical & Quality Control
- Diagnose complex faults or guide technicians when they’re stuck
- Ensure all repairs follow manufacturer specs, torque settings, and checklists
- Handle reworks/comebacks: investigate root cause and prevent repeat issues
- Sign off on warranty jobs and ensure proper documentation for claims
D. Customer & Admin
- Liaise with Service Advisors on job status, delays, and extra work approvals
- Explain technical issues to customers in simple terms when needed
- Control labor hours, rework cost, and consumable usage to hit targets
- Maintain workshop reports: job completion, technician efficiency, comebacks, incidents
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and OEM safety standards
