VETERINARY SURGEON

• Responsibilities

Provide technical support and professional advice to customers and field staff.

Promote and sell veterinary medicines and animal health products.

Ensure proper storage, handling and distribution of veterinary medicines.

Monitor disease trends and provide solutions to improve animal health and productivity.

Maintain accurate records and reports.

Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with BOMRA requirements.

• Requirements

Is registrable with the Botswana Veterinary Surgeons Council (BVSC).

Has strong knowledge of animal diseases, diagnosis, treatment and herd health management.

Has sound knowledge of veterinary medicines, pharmacology and their practical application.

Is knowledgeable about retail distribution, stock management and the selling of veterinary pharmaceuticals.

Ensures strict compliance with BOMRA regulations and other relevant legislation.

Has excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Is self-motivated, hardworking and willing to travel within assigned areas.

Is computer literate and able to work independently and as part of a team.
