Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Provide real-time interpretation between Traditional Chinese (Mandarin) and English during meetings, trainings, and workplace interactions.
Translate business documents, reports, emails, manuals, contracts, and operational procedures accurately.
Assist Chinese expatriates and local employees in overcoming language barriers.
Support communication between management, production, engineering, procurement, and administrative teams.
Ensure translations maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural appropriateness.
Accompany managers during site visits, inspections, and meetings when interpretation is required.
Proofread and review translated documents for consistency and quality.
Assist with onboarding and orientation of Chinese staff where language support is needed.
Perform other translation and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Translation, Chinese Language, Linguistics, International Relations, or a related field.
Ability to read, write, and speak Traditional Chinese and Mandarin fluently.
Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Previous experience as a translator or interpreter is an added advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural manufacturing environment.
