TEMPORARY PRINCIPAL REGISTRED NURSE/NURSING OFFICER I – (MIDWIFE)

• Responsibilities

Assess health status of the patient to identify needs.

Consult clients and determine nursing diagnosis through history taking and physical examination, analyzing data and prescribing prompt treatment and nursing care.

Provide life-saving measures during transportation of patients to areas of specialized care or higher level for patient safety.

Dress wounds and removes sutures through application of aseptic technique to promote and enhance wound healing.

• Requirements
• QUALIFICATION: Diploma/Degree in General Nursing Plus Post Basic Diploma in Midwifery

REGISTRATION: Prospective candidates must provide proof of registration with Botswana Nursing Council and Valid Practicing Certificate.

EXPERIENCE: At least two (2) years relevant work experience as Nursing Officer II/Senior Registered Nurse or four (4) years in a relevant field.
