- OVERVIEW
WorkForce Recruitment Services (WRS) is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Service Manager on behalf of a client.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing dealership service operations, leading service teams, ensuring excellent customer experience, improving workshop performance, and driving revenue growth through efficient service delivery.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT
Manage daily operations of the dealership service department.
Plan and control workshop capacity, job allocation, and turnaround times.
Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, company policies, and health and safety requirements.
- TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
Lead, coach, and develop service teams to achieve performance targets.
Manage service advisors, technicians, and workshop support staff.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT
Ensure exceptional customer service and high customer satisfaction.
Maintain strong relationships with customers.
Resolve escalated service complaints and technical concerns.
Manage warranty claims and quality control processes.
- BUSINESS PERFORMANCE AND REPORTING
Drive revenue growth through labour sales, parts sales, and value-added services.
Prepare and monitor departmental budgets.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare performance reports.
Support commercial growth of the service department.

- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should possess:
Proven experience managing an automotive dealership service department.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Good commercial and financial management skills.
Relevant qualification in:
Automotive Engineering.
Mechanical Engineering.
Business Management.
Or related field (added advantage).

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy workshop environment.
Strong customer relationship management skills.
Knowledge of automotive service operations and dealership processes.
