  • VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Holy Family Mission Hospital under the Catholic Archdiocese of Blantyre and a member of Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM), located in Phalombe District, along the Chitakale-Phalombe Road.

  • Qualifications and Requirements

Diploma in Clinical Orthopaedic from recognized institution, Degree will be an added advantage.

  • Registered with Medical Council of Malawi
  • Knowledge of orthopedic patient management and quality assurance systems
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal system disorders

Administering non-invasive treatments: Such as prescribing medication or recommending physical therapy.

Performing invasive procedures: Including surgeries like joint replacements and repair of broken bones.

Analyzing patients' medical histories: Performing physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests like X-rays or MRI scans.

Providing advice on health maintenance and disease prevention: Coordinating with other medical practitioners for patient care.

Updating and maintaining patient records: In a timely and accurate manner.

Staying updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic treatments and procedures.

Should possess a strong understanding of the musculoskeletal system and the ability to communicate effectively with patients.

  • Terms of Employment

Successful Candidates will be offered an initial one (1) year fixed term contract, which may be renewed based on satisfactory Job performance, Professional conduct and operational requirements of the Hospital.
