Description
ALAF Limited is seeking to recruit Sales Engineer responsible for generating leads for Projects and accelerate conversion of these leads to orders to achieve set targets, with main focus on complete Safal Building Solutions Sales.

Achieve set volume/target by proactively identifying Project prospects within Dar es Salaam region and engaging various stakeholders to close orders
Promote complete building solution. Actively talk about PEB and light gauge steel trussing along with other traded items
Develop relationships with the influencer community of Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Structural Engineers, Consultants & Contractors and Key consumers.
Develop new customers
Site visits – assist in taking site measurements and working out BOQ
Maintain Projects Tracker – Follow up on leads/inquiries, convert to orders and ensure timely billing of orders
Follow up with customer service on confirmed orders so they are delivered as per agreed lead time/delivery period
Manage customer complaints with support from Customer Service
To ensure compliance with company credit policy and collection targets
To ensure compliance with SAP processes per company norms
Prepare and submit reports as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Building Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in project sales, business development, or technical sales within the building materials, construction, roofing, steel, or related industry.
Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Experience in engaging and managing relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, developers, quantity surveyors, and other key project influencers.
Working knowledge of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), construction drawings, and project specifications.
Experience in preparing quotations, managing project pipelines, and coordinating order execution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems such as SAP.
Valid driving licence with willingness to travel extensively for customer and site visits.
