Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Review design drawings, specifications, and project documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the studio's design and quality standards prior to issuance.
  • Cross-check construction drawings against approved design intent to identify discrepancies before they reach site.
  • Maintain a quality checklist/framework for design deliverables at each project milestone.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction works, materials, and workmanship comply with approved drawings, specifications, and building codes.
  • Prepare and maintain snag lists, tracking identified defects through to close-out with contractors and site teams.
  • Verify that materials delivered to site match approved specifications before use in construction.
  • Flag quality, design, or workmanship risks early and escalate significant issues to the COO/Project Manager.
  • Support the development and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for design review, site inspection, and quality control.
  • Ensure project sites comply with applicable Nigerian building codes, regulatory requirements, and the company's HSE standards, in coordination with the HSE function.
  • Prepare regular quality assurance reports for the COO, covering inspection findings, outstanding defects, and compliance status across active projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, quality audits, and corrective actions for each project.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 – 4 years' experience in quality assurance/control, site supervision, or architectural/engineering practice within construction, architecture, or the built environment sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Technology, or a related built environment field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Sound understanding of quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) principles and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, or equivalent) sufficient to cross-check deliverables.
