Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a senior IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for 59 State Health Centers and clinical staff across the Bureau of Community Health Systems (BCHS), Bureau of Immunizations (BOI), and Bureau of Communicable Diseases (BCD), transitioning the program from a paper-based charting system to full digital operation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, plan, execute, and monitor all EHR implementation project activities, including governance
· Manage the transition from system implementation to program operations and maintenance
· Develop and own the Project Management Plan, schedule, budget, and estimates
· Track project progress, milestones, risks (via RAID+ log), and take corrective action as needed
· Manage organizational change management (OCM) planning with program stakeholders
· Coordinate across IT teams (Application, Data Warehouse, Informatics, Security, Networking) and vendors
· Prepare and deliver status reports, communication plans, and stakeholder updates
· Ensure compliance with HHS DC PMO standards, methodology, and reporting (Daptiv, SharePoint, Teams)
· Mentor junior project staff and serve as primary point of contact for issue resolution
Required Skills & Certifications:
· Active PMI PMP Certification held for a minimum of 5 years
· 7–9 years: relevant Project Management experience
· 7 years: managing technical initiatives across multiple IT areas with vendor involvement
· Demonstrable experience with EHR system implementation (paper-to-digital transition)
· Experience with health informatics and health IT
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
· Familiarity with public health programs and issues
· Experience with organizational change management (OCM) with independent customers
Scheduling:
· Location: Dauphin County, PA — onsite in Harrisburg office 2 days/week.
· Duration: 2 Months
