- Responsibilities
assist with the coordination and execution of programmes and activities that promote student leadership, personal growth and involvement in campus organizations
Contribute to the design, development and implementation of leadership training programmes and workshops, towards promoting student leadership, mentorship, professional development and engagement and reduction of risks as a critical partner within the University governance structure
- Identify and develop opportunities for student’s organizations and leaders
- Further recommend the leaders who make impact for recognition or awards
- Assist student Organizations with planning and executing events and activities
- Gather insights from University departments and external organizations to enhance leadership programmes
Provide ongoing support and mentoring to student’s organizations and leaders and represent the University in Student Leadership initiatives as required
Contribute to the development of and implementation of departmental, sectional and unit level strategies, policies, plans and procedures
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to support and develop student leadership and programmes.
Stay updated with key trends in leadership development, in order to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counselling, or a related field is required.
Work Experience: Not required.
Passion for student development, leadership and engagement.
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Compassion, empathy, patience and a commitment to collaborating with diverse student population and contribute to a positive campus community.
