Personal care worker

We are seeking compassionate, reliable and dedicated Personal Care Workers to provide quality care and support to clients, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

The successful candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, personal hygiene, mobility and general wellbeing in accordance with individual care plans and workplace procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, showering, dressing and grooming.
• Support clients with mobility, transfers and daily living activities.
• Assist with meals, hydration and other personal care needs.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Observe and report changes in clients’ health, behaviour or wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow individual care plans.
• Follow infection control, workplace health and safety procedures.
• Respect clients’ privacy, dignity, cultural backgrounds and confidentiality.
• Work collaboratively with other care staff and healthcare professionals.

Skills and Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or an equivalent relevant qualification is desirable or required where applicable to the role.
• Previous experience in aged care, disability support or personal care is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of infection control and safe manual handling.
• Current First Aid, CPR and relevant screening clearances, as required for the position.
